Huh? My exchange with the piss ants was not about Trump or his politics. Now, I am happy to say that I’m glad he’s in the race and that, at the very least, he’s brought to the fore the illegal immigration issue. Would he make a good President? I don’t know. And guess what, you don’t know either. He’s clearly a very competent guy, but who knows how those skill might translate over to governance. He might be fantastic. He might be the worst president we’ve ever had. And what are these “darker sides” you mention. Is it more of the ridiculous exaggerations you mentioned in another thread, about the lack of concern for legal hispanic immigrants? If so, we can simply ignore them. If it’s something else, please do share. ---

And the other point stands, you are actually following fringe ideas that already in this tread many conservative Republicans on the SDMB do not agree with. If you are talking about growing up, the arrested development seen on you is in part caused by ignoring advice from fellow republicans. To get back to the OP, it seems more and more people would likely vote for Donald Trump the more that time goes by. According to a new CNN/ORC poll, Trump’s approval rating among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents in almost 80% and he’s pulled within 6 percentage points of Hillary Clinton in polling for the general election.
