PROTIP: “Illegal” is an adjective. Using it as a noun, while it may be technically proper according to some dictionaries, marks one as willing to negate/dismiss the humanness of actual human beings; this seriously impairs one’s qualification to participate in discussions of illegal immigration and border control. Expressing a willingness to have Donald Trump assume the presidency seriously impairs one’s qualification to be looked upon as sane. ---

Serious question. I thought there was a fairness doctrine, or some rule requiring equal air time coverage for all candidates? It seems Trump is getting all the press coverage. Is there still such a rule, and when does it kick in? ---

This “pendejo” word; is it polite enough to use at work, like “putz” when I worked in Skokie, or should I use something milder? I don’t wish to shock the nice Mexican ladies–practically girls–I sit near. Oh yeah, you are good. I used pendejo because this was still in GD. It means something like moron, idiot, with a tinge of calling him an asshole. Pretty mild. Now, since we are in the Pit, I’d probably call him something like pinche puto and tell the him that I cago en la leche de tu puta madre and that he can pegarlo en el culo and besarme el culo marron peludo…or something along those lines. I’m just trying to foment the OPs cultural exchange, of course. (You have to say the Spanish phonetically, since, sadly, I never learned how to read or write in Spanish…the gringos got me when I was young and impressionable, and my dad, once we came to this country, was death on speaking Spanish at home…he’s a total US fanatic. I would disrecommend saying any of this to your impressionable and most likely meek and retiring hispanic ladies in your office though.
