They’d almost have to rework the show for anyone else to take the lead role! You’re right, Jack Bauer is 24. ---

I might stick around for a few seasons if they replaced him with someone decent. Just so long as they don’t shoe-horn in something totally outlandish. Black Bauer might be fun to see torturing and killing indiscrimnantly. ---

I’d give it a shot with Curtis - especially if Chloe became the new Torture Person - but we have such a history with Jack that it’d be really tough. ---

I’d LOVE to see a Chloe O’Brian spinoff – I find Mary Lynn Rajskub’s character that entertaining. But 24 is all about Jack Bauer, the man who could beat Batman, Deathstroke, and even Chuck Norris without stopping to use the bathroom. ---

Depending on Tony’s status, I could see a show where maybe he and Curtis go off to start their own repo company. Chloe could be their PR person, Buchanan would be the accountant, and Edgar would handle advertising. It’d be a hit! [serious] There are a lot of sharp characters on the show, but they haven’t portrayed any other individual as having the courage, intelligence, skills and resources that Jack has. The whole point is that Jack is the most unique, unreplaceable man in the world, and trying to convince an audience that someone else had filled his shoes would fail horrendously. I probably wouldn’t bother. [/serious] Although it could get interesting if they suggested that Jack had secretly passed along all of his knowledge and training to Chase and Kim. Then Jack could allow himself to be killed, and just when the supervillains of the world think they can rest easy, a new generation of whoop-ass appears! My daydreams are going to amuse me now… ---

_sigh_ I just realized I said “most unique” in my prior post. :smack: I hope Jack doesn’t have a grievance with poor use of English. Then again, I could swear that at some point last season, he said “nucular.” ---

Only Curtis would have a chance, but he still needs another year of field training. But I think the show will probably die with Jack(or retire with jack). ---

24 without Jack? The show would then be called, “5 minutes” and that is about how long it would stay on the air. Never fear, I believe Kiefer has signed a contract for this year, and two additional years (at least I think I read that last summer…). ---
