I would watch a _24: Villains_ spinoff where they went back and we got to find out about the lives of Nina Meyers and Mia Kirshner’s character (Mandy.) I would be interested in the stories behind them and I wouldn’t be worried that the writers could make it a thrill to watch, so it would just be a matter of whether the actresses were strong enough to carry a lead role. Mia Kirshner was essentially the lead in Crow: City of Angels and carried it well I thought, so I see no reason she couldn’t do it here. Not sure about Nina’s actress. ---

I would watch Black Bauer and/or Tony, but it wouldn’t really be the same and I don’t know if it’d keep my interest. ---

How about Tony, Edgar, Curtis, President Wussy, Audrey and Chloe all move into a high rise apartment together in L.A. where they live right across the hall from each other. We get to see all of their wacky interactions there, and sometimes they meet at a local coffee house. I think that show has great potential. ---

Not a chance! Jack Bauer is probably the most outrageous character on network television. Without him (and/or Kiefer Sutherland), there is no show. ---

Probably not, but never say never. If they replaced him with an equally good, equally outrageous actor, maybe. I could see ‘24’ starring Samuel L. Jackson being a lot of fun. ---

Let’s see - could Chloe replace Jack? Willing to break the rules? - of course. Shoot someone on sight? - sure. Knows how to use a cellphone? - she’s the best. Knows how to use a PC and open a file? - Edgar stands in awe of her. Torture someone? - with relish! Have serial unsuccessful romantic relationships? - naturally. Hide her contempt for her superiors - so so. One bad day after another? - obviously. But it would be a little bit different with Chloe. Remember the scene where Kim shot that abusive father? Jack said “shoot him again.” Chloe would say something like “would you please just shoot him again? Why do you have to argue with me? Just do as I say so we can get on with important stuff” A little work with her dialogue and Chloe could pull it off. ---

I remember reading somewhere during season 1 that Keither had said that if the show was a hit and they wanted to bring it back for a second season, he’d want Jack to die at the end of the first hour. He thought the premise and the supporting cast was so strong that it didn’t need Jack Bauer. ---
