Funny I read The Onion all the time and this is the only article that struck me as in bad taste. Otherwise I think it’s hilarious. ---

How can you be offended by the Sharon line and not even notice the “Iran’s Holocaust Conference” infographic? (right there, next to the photo of holocaust denier Ahmadinejad) ---

What about the non-article headline **God Grants John Ritter’s Wish to Meet Johnny Cash**? Posted the day after they died, of course. In bad taste, but hilarious. I thought the headline in the OP was only moderately funny, but I didn’t find it particularly offensive. “Ringo Next” _was_ in very bad taste–and is absolutely hilarious (and I say that as a major Beatles freak). I don’t see why they felt the “Quadragon” joke was going too far; I thought that was funny, too (took me a few seconds to get it, though). But there was one “editorial” piece maybe a year ago that just utterly turned my stomach and pretty much turned me off the Onion. It was the one about a policemen “comforting” the parents of a murdered girl, and everything he says makes it clear that she went though the most horrifying sexual tortures. That’s one I really wish I could scrub out of my brain. ---
