It kind of is me! However I seem to be breaking the cycle I have good grades. I get stuff in on time. I work hard at work. I spent a whole year getting up early. However I don’t have to get up so early now, and I’m starting slip back into it. I need to stop that! Thanks alot for this thread.🙂 ---

Goddamn it, it’s me too. I go in cycles of having my shit together and feeling smug, then something will happen to derail the process and I will go into the procrastination/guilt phase again. I wonder what pathology this is? Is it a symptom of our age? Are some of us too caught up in being independent and indulgent that we don’t have the societal drive that pushed our forbears into Taking Care of Business? ---

When I’d rather do something fun and pointless, I go do that (unless there is something else I really need to be doing). Sure I sometimes procrastinate or put stuff off like everyone else. Im gronz up now!” just sounds sort of childish and pathetic. Who wrote this blog anyway? One of the characters from Step Brothers? ---

I’m the biggest procrastinator in the world, and my voicemailbox has been full for over 6 months…but this isn’t me. I’ve been a grown-up since I was 15, and I let myself goof-off when I need to, but I was also a wife and a mother and then a single parent, and now a sandwich…if i don’t grocery shop people don’t eat. ---

This used to be me… And every now and then Mr. Serenata and I fall into a “Look at us, we’re so grown up!” slack off phase. But we’re better at keeping up with things so we don’t burn ourselves out “being adults.” ---

And in doing so, denigrating everyone else that has had this stuggle (i.e. every other doper that has posted in this thread). I find this to be quite childish.
