# Writer Tom Wolfe has died

I liked _The Right Stuff_ very much. I took a crack at _Bonfire of the Vanities_ but it bored me. I’ve read some of his shorter pieces and they’re OK but didn’t grab me, either.

All this reminded me of [Carol Doda](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_Doda), I thought she was still alive but turns out she died in 2015.

And so it goes.
