Ever have song start going through your head for no reason whatsoever? It happened to me today. I woke up with a song from Kids in the Hall prattling at me. I haven’t seen that show in months. And it wasn’t even a _good_ song. It was the theme song from one of their fake talk show sketches. “Darcy, Darcy, Darcy Burnell She makes life a lot less hell…” WTF?? Do I really need that repeated to me over and over and over again as I get ready for work? And it wouldn’t leave! Even at work. I felt really stupid testing stuff for bacteria while that damn song kept pounding at my forebrain. I kept thinking, “What if my boss knew what was going on in my head?” Then, when it finally left, it was replaced by the even more inane “Dead Puppies” song, which I last heard on Dr. Demento 10 years ago. What, is it spring cleaning time in my memory banks? “Dead puppies, dead puppies, dead puppies aren’t much fun. My puppy died late last fall. She’s still rotting in the hall…” GAAH! I still remember the stinkin’ WORDS! “One more time for Roman (someone - I never did catch that last name)!!!” [sub]Someone help me[/sub] ---

About a week before 9/11 I had been singing “Ahab the Arab” in the shower for no reason whatsoever… it just popped up in my mind. Last week I was sitting at my computer at work and the theme song to “Green Acres” hit me. _chuckle_ My brain needs an enema to get all this useless crap out of it. It’s mucking up my mental plumbing. ---

Lately I’ve found myself singing random verses of the Dyaln song Desolation Row…over and over and over and over an\… Alot… I figured I just needed to hear the song to get it out of my head, so I listened to it. Now when I sing it to myself, I play the drums along with it…d’oh! ---

I lauged my ass off the other night while watching Buffy, they were talking about the Divinyls “I Touch Myself” ans Willow says: “Oh! That’s what that song is about…”. So I went to the doctor the other day because I had a song stuck in my head. When I told him this he replied that “it was just my imagination”. I said, no it’s not BUT it is another Motown classic. I’ll be here all week… _ducks and runs_ ---
