# WTF is this Drivel? --or--Crappy works by authors you otherwise dig

Ha! I came in here to mention Sphere and King’s The Tommyknockers. I hated that one worse than The Dark Half. And I thought Rose Madder was extremely misogynistic. But I still stand by my King fandom, in spite of those.

What was the Crichton book about gorillas? I thought that one was terrible too! As in all his books, both it and Sphere presented some science for me to think about, but plot? Gag!

That would be _Congo_. Ugh. I struggled like hell to get through that book. It was so slooooowww.

I hated anything I ever read by Crichton except The Andromeda Strain, and since I read it when I was a kid, maybe I was wrong about that one!
