Ha! I came in here to mention Sphere and King’s The Tommyknockers. I hated that one worse than The Dark Half. And I thought Rose Madder was extremely misogynistic. But I still stand by my King fandom, in spite of those.

What was the Crichton book about gorillas? I thought that one was terrible too! As in all his books, both it and Sphere presented some science for me to think about, but plot? Gag!

That would be Congo. Ugh. I struggled like hell to get through that book. It was so slooooowww.

I hated anything I ever read by Crichton except The Andromeda Strain, and since I read it when I was a kid, maybe I was wrong about that one!
