Come to think of it, it’s gotta’ be a North American tailless, bipedal, dusky echidna. Obviously she’s ready to lay her eggs, (as evidenced by the well-known “modified cartoon sleepwalker” stance) as she makes her way to the nest for the blessed event. Usually, sixteen small, sphereoid brownish eggs are laid, (which are themselves protected by a thick yet runny pudding-like substance of the same colour as the eggs.) She has sixteen “ducted nipples”, one for each baby, each dispensing the runny, dark grayish milk on which her offspring depend. This animal is actually NOT rare, as evidenced by at least 50 sightings of this type taking place every year in North America alone. ---

Chupacabra just doesn’t quite fit the bill; looks more like a [Tokoloshe](http://www.vanhunks.com/tokoloshe1.html), an African little fella. The scenario looks Euro, yer right, and I’m not sure how Immigration laws apply. I’ve heard that Tokoloshe are displacing gnomes and elves in their jobs, though.
