sailor is right. The latin root is fatuus, which means foolish. It’s the root of both fatuous and infatuated (I checked in the Concise Oxford Dictionary). So, “infatuated” literally/originally means you’re so into something/someone that you act like a fool. ---

But, now, I’m not even sure if there is an AH-1 track anymore since all the guard and reserve units have 64’s. During the Viet Nam era, you first learned in the sewing machine/mosquito recip version with the ungoverned throttle mounted on the collective. If you had trouble walking, talking, and chewing gum at the same time, this was not the machine for you. You would not believe the love an comraderie I would have for a fellow vet. OTOH I am sure you can imagine how many phonies one runs into on the net. I am not suggesting you are not legit, just that some of your statements made me curious, because in my military experience the things you mention, like why is a Hellfire not fired from ground positions, are unfamiliar in my experience. I really would like to interact with fellow vets, that is why I suggested we e-mail eachother to clear up the missunderstanding as opposed to airing dirty laundry in public. PS I felt most of your TEST questions were unfair, since I stated I was not an aviator, granted with a few calls and some net time I bet I could have answered them but why, I was not a pilot how should I know those things? it is not like I asked you how to check operator headspace and timing on a 50, or what charge should be set on a four deuce to reach out and touch someone, or what the gear ratio is on a sand rail, what is printed on the back of a claymore. (are those references vague enough for you?) ---

I just love this chest thumping stuff… When it comes down to it, if you won’t at least give your Cert. Numbers to the other guy in an private email, then it is all BS. Anyone can ask tough and sneaky questions. Does not prove a thing. Data Bases, Newspaper articles, numbers that can be checked, scanned pics of your log books, reference names that are willing to verify ( about military fling wing pilots, I wanna hear from their crew chiefs – give me a name I can check. Bawahahaha )… Then we can play the who knows what best game… ::: sheesh :::: (10 year old info… geez louize … ) I don’t spout off about current stuff, just old stuff… he he he ---

I AM NOT, I REPEAT, NOT EQUATING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION WITH NAZISM But I do understand the anguish, however badly expressed by many so called liberals. It is easy to feel that the escapades of GWB go beyond what is exceptable. Tolerance is fine, to a point. Would anyone suggest that liberals would have been hypocrits for refusing to tolerate Hitler? AGAIN I AM NOT EQUATING BUSH TO HITLER. I am just pointing out that those who advocate tolerance do not have to tolerate everthing to avoid being hypocrits. Their are limits, I am not claiming to know what they are, but advocates of tolerance do not have to invite the absurd. ---
