But then, according to [this](http://tviv.org/The_Daily_Show/1998), the future Michael Bluth wasn’t on until January 12, episode 5 of season 3. ---

Maybe I’ve just internalized this board’s mores, but I can’t even think of an argument _why_ there should be a standing order for the banishment of locked threads. ---

Hmmmm, it looks like IMBD and epguides agree on the date (Jan. 8 1998) and episode number (229), but just disagree on what a ‘season’ is. Actually, both of the links you provide seem to be equating a season to a calendar year, whereas IMDB has other ideas. I haven’t a clue what would be ‘right’ in this instance.
