Your initial complaint was noted and answered. It degenerated to “I’ll follow you around and remind you of what you said,” at which point you were told that would be a violation of the rules and the thread was shut. Why was it shut? Because you were threatening a violation of the rules and because your initial complaint had been already addressed. Why were the others shut? Because you need to shut up already. The horse is very, very dead. Stirring up for the sake of stirring up, we tend to call that trolling and it’s against the rules here. If you have other complaints or comments, please take it up with me in email. (I’m busy the rest of the day, so almost certainly won’t respond until late tonight or tomorrow.) ---

Dex, you’re misrepresenting what I said. But that’s fine, people can go read the other thread if they choose. Frankly, I thought this was the proper place to complain about mods behaviour. It appears that you guys (and gals) don’t take it very well. So I guess there’s no point in bothering anymore. ---

Personally, I like **C K Dexter Haven’s** use of Tweet and such. I’m not sure I’d like it if ALL the mods used it–I like it because it’s his distinctive style. And generally, I think he’s right. If he’s pretending to be blowing a whistle at kindergardeners, the posters in that thread probably deserve it. The threads in which we all behave like responsible adults generally don’t need much moderator attention. ---

Once upon a time I believed that if people treated you as an adult, you would behave in an adult manner. Too many people on this board have proved me wrong. If they didn’t act like children they would not have to be treated like children. Grow up. You know who you are.
