Well, January Jones as Emma Frost looks pretty good. I think that I’d have to see a little more before I give another oppinion on them. On one hand, this movie looks bad for some reason. OTOH, I fucking loved Kick-ass. So yeah, I’m conflicted. ---

So, so far we’ve got one character who will repel fans (Azazel, a character that has only shown up once, and only exists because Chuck Austen is an idiot), one character who will repel non-fans (C-lister fly-girl, who has the same name as one of the protagonists of the last movie), and one that will repel both (January Jones and her ridiculous bra). ---

If this is actually the cast of characters, I’ve got absolutely no hope for the flick. Azazel? Yugh. Mixing the time periods to such an extreme extent? Why? Sure, mixing it up a bit, to get favourite characters together is fine, but in this case it doesn’t work. _AZAZEL?!_ ---

I’ve only seen January Jones in Mad Men so I might be conflating the actress and the role too much but I don’t think JJ can pull off Emma Frost. To be fair, I can’t come up with an actress who could. ---

Could not agree more. January Jones has demonstrated the ability to be Grace Kelly beautiful and to be able to portray characters where a flat delivery can be interpreted in ways that suit the plot. Reminds me of Andie MacDowell in sex, lies and videotape - if you can build a story where her huge limitations as an actress can be used to benefit the character, great. Emma Frost doesn’t strike me as that kind of character. In terms of who could - the first that comes to mind is [Tricia Helfer](http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLL_enUS388US389&q=tricia+helfer&biw=994&bih=796). Another is a bit-younger [Natasha Henstridge](http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLL_enUS388US389&q=natasha+henstridge&biw=994&bih=796). ---

Yes, the story (The Draco) was lame. _Lamer_ than Wiki makes it seem. See Also: The entire rest of Austen’s run. (Look up the Evil Communion Wafer Rapture, for more of his screwing with Kurt.) And, no, Kurt survived Austen. He’s currently dead…but he was cool right up until his death! ---

The photos don’t look bad, so much as they look like a promotion for a _TV show_ like Babylon 5 or a new Star Trek. Until I determined that X-Men First Class was a movie, not a TV show, I was thinking it looked pretty promising. ---

I saw some cool photoshops of Chris Evans as Captain America that were completely fake. Never underestimate the time and care a die-hard fan will devote to fan art. Xavier in this picture looks more like Andrew McCarthy circa _Pretty in Pink_ than James McAvoy post _Wanted_.
