They are all-black. They’re going for the _Batman/Lost in Space_, tight-fitting rubber look, which I’m tired of. They’re dull, frankly. That is so _weak_! I am sick of that look too, Jab. From that link, it doesn’t look like that’s the only thing they skimped on. What’s up with Patrick Stewart playing Prof X? They’re not as bad as I thought they’d be, but they’re still not very good. Wolverine looks dumb because the guy is so skinny. Someone please tell me who “toad” is… ---

Where is _everyone_?? Surely those aren’t the only characters in the movie ☹ Like I’m going to see it anyway. I can’t even stand the stupid cartoon and the way if eff-ed up the stories. Can anyone answer me this? I saw it once in the cartoon but never saw it even alluded to in the comic books: Is Mystique really Nightcrawler’s mother? Mystique’s name is Raven Darkholme, Nightcrawler’s is Kurt Wagner, Mystique has blue skin but Nightcrawler has blue fur, 3 digits on each hand and foot, and a tail, Kurt is German but I’ve never read that Raven was supposed to be, if Mystique could adopt Rogue then why couldn’t she have kept her own son if she had one, etc., etc. Please tell me it was just more crap invented by the cartoons and/or post-Clairmont writers. (I hung on after Clairmont left but just couldn’t stomach “Age of Apocalypse.” Between that and the cartoon, I decided I was tired of seeing my favorite characters fucked with. Oh, by the way: If you go to the link I provided above, and click on one of the thumbnails, you get full-size images, courtesy of Harry Knowles’ Ain’t It Cool News website. Toad is an evil mutant, in league with Magneto. If you look at the left of that [countingdown.com](http://countingdown.com) page, you’ll see a small image of Halle Berry as Storm. At least she has white hair and blue eyes as she should. You can also see Famke Jansen as Jean Grey and she has red hair. At least they got THAT right. Don’t get too worked up. They’re only some of the costumes, not the only ones. And having bright colours like that really looks silly, on film. It’s impossible to make a good film by sticking to its source too closely. Movies have different sensibilities, and unfortunately that means compromise. Accept it, ignore it, and enjoy the movie. Really, what comic book hero has EVER translated well onto the silver screen ? I suppose someone could make a case for the first couple of Superman flicks (note to self : never ever put Richard Prior in an action movie). Everyone says “the first Batman was great”, no Nicholson was great - the film blew. Stand any crappy film up against the rest of the Batman movies and it will look awesome. The old Bat-films were mega-cheesey (Holy overacting Batman!). The Spiderman movies in the 70’s, hahahahahahahahah . . . yeah right. Spawn ? Ok maybe. Steel ? Shaq, work on the free throws buddy, leave acting (and rapping for that matter) to the professionals. Last I saw Tom Hanks was not busting out as a forward for the Knicks, m’kay ? Shadowfox, I think what he meant is that _Professor Xavier_ is American. Not Patrick Stewart. ShadowFox, that was my initial reaction as well. The sentence does leave that interpretation open, but after futher review I decided he must be talking about Xavier. Even still . . . come on, Patrick Stewart could (and likely has) play a person of any heritage or accent he wants. The man’s amazing. He would be my first choice for the part, (must be the hair, um, or lack thereof) and I believe he will pull his weight and then some in the film. ---

Although I never saw the _Blade_\* comic book, once I found out it was based on a comic book, I thought it was a great movie. I watched Mystery Men last night and found out it was a comic book, originally. It had a good feel to it. I have to agree with _The Crow_ and _MIB_\* What about _The Mask_?
