I’d rather eat a bowl of moon dust than a cantaloupe. Watermelon is okay, but usually pretty far from a perfect sphere. So I dispute the premise. A hard threshold at slightly over lime size is much more logical to me. ---

I’m also interested in how this correlation extends to the upper left. There ought to be something about the size of a poppy seed that tastes really, really awesome, and something the size of a dust mote that will produce a full mouthgasm as one my chef friends used to say. ---

Oh, and back to the banana one… I’ve never seen the show, but as I understand it, the banana in question was prepared? Probably mounted on a stick, dipped in chocolate or something, and covered in various toppings? That means that you have to consider the cost of all of those other ingredients, too, and products like that usually have a huge markup. ---
