I’d have thought that, by Munroe’s standards, the top-tier photo would be the one taken from the surface of the Sun. You need some pretty good filters for that one. ---

The NAD83 system has actually been updated multiple times. It’s reference coordinates are pinned to the continent, rather than being tied to the global geodetic lat/long. Depending on where you live, your “NAD83” coordinate could already have shifted by several feet in the last 40 years as corrections have been made! ---
