# XOXO = hugs and kisses... How?

Just wondering when hugs and kisses turned into x’s and o’s. Searched the archives, but didn’t find anything. If this has already been posted and answered, just post a link, thanks. Thanks to all who answer.

I think the X looks like a kiss feels (when you pucker up for Gramma), and the O is wrapping around someone with a hug.
