# XP won't boot into safe mode. Virus?

No such mode. There is RAID, AHCI and regular. All are generating 7B

Don’t know but maybe this will be a help.

Download the FREE SuperAntiSpyware program, go to preferences then repairs.

Here it has a list of repairs including “Repair broken Safe Boot key”

As a tech, I’m curious what you’ve used it for. The only thing I’ve ever used it for was running chkdsk, which can be done other, arguably easier ways.
