Ivan astikov, greetings from a fellow human being. I have actually read the book, many times – in fact I have studied it. I can tell you that it is complete bullshit – hell, even Dolan has admitted this publicly many times (even going so far as to mention the amount of $ it has made him). A simple google search would have told you that. It has even been admitted by Mr. Dolan – and you still take this seriously? He came clean in 2005 for Christ sake. Sorry – but you really should try to check your sources. Old news, resolved and admitted. Are you seriously defending someone who has admitted that it was all made up from whatever sources he could find for the love of the $ ? ---

Asking him for a link to something he claims is available via google, isn’t quite the same as you lot asking me to summarise a 500 page book. Especially when I know you lot are all more interested in trying - feebly- to take the piss, than in discussing the topic with any sort of sincerity. ---

Ivan, I am not reluctant to help help you in your quest - I simply can’t be bothered. This was years ago, it was an off hand comment he did when he thought no one was paying attention. I could look it up, that would require me to go through a bunch of my research papers from that time though. I admit - “simple” google search might be a bit over the top, I was trying to speak the jive you guys speak here (I very very rarely enter the pit). If you really really need this to cement your opinions I will dig it up for you - though why I should spend that amount of time for something like this is beyond me. Frankly I would prefer not to go through the whole “Cite?” / "AntiCite? thing. I think it would be much more productive if we just started a thread in GD or something, wouldn’t you agree? I can start one, but I am not sure what part you want to discuss. Let me know if you would like a serious discussion about this (and let us try to ignore the flamers) and I would be happy to oblige. I am not a prolific poster though, so please do not get impatient if I don’t respond immediately (or even within a day). You are welcome to blame my family for this, I would appreciate it if you could do so in a decent manner. ---
