For those baffled by Ivan’s spew here, [this is the relevant thread.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=566082&highlight=aliens) It’s pretty clear that the discussion was supposed to be about the reactions to a ‘first contact’ sort of situation and Ivan (9/11 Truther, racist, general nutball) went off the rails pretty quick and declared that there was a government conspiracy. ---
