# Yahoo messinger and IE conflict?

So last night, while I was busy [invading Hawaii](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&postid=4018687#post4018685) I had a sudden need to download some sort of IM client. I installed the Yahoo messager, and soon after, I found I could not keep more than one Internet Explorer window open. A right-click on a link and selecting “Open in new window” would open the new window, and close the previous one. Making the “back” icon uesless.
After uninstalling the Yahoo messager, and restoring my IE settings, the problem remains. For the life of me, I can’t figure out what has happened.
Thank goodness this is a dual-boot machine, I wouldn’t be very able to even ask this question if I didn’t do the linux thang.
And yes, it was my bad for leaving XP up and running during the attack.
Any Ideas on how to unscrew IE?

Nevermind, I figured it out.
Note to self: Some pop-up blocking software is a bit too eager.
