Okay, here’s the problem. I love to play spades, but until recently have never played online. Not to toot my own horn, but I _know_ I am good at Spades. I recently have started playing at Yahoo Games. They have ratings and I am labeled provisional. Nobody at the intermediate boards wants to play with a newbie and when I go to the beginners tables I am saddled with the lamest partners. Honestly, I have partners go nil with the King and Queen of Spades. We lose, and my rating goes lower.
It’s almost like, “can’t get a job without experience” and “can’t get experience without a job.”
Any other online spades players out there? Any other sites I should check out? Any advice???
And I have to ask - is there a lot of instant messaging cheaters out there? I’ve played a few games that made me suspicious.

They have rated games, where players like to play others of a similar ranking, but they also have friendly games and tournaments. By playing in a tournament in a rated room, you rating will increase if you win.
I play cribbage on the zone regularly … it’s a fun bunch of people. Hope this was some help.
