# Yawning (I bet you will yawned just now)

Whenever I read the word ‘yawn’ I yawn. It never fails. Even just typing the word yawn is making me yawn. Why? Did you yawn when reading this? I searched the Archives and found nothing on this particular aspect of yawning, just the link to [Cecil’s column](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2_309.html) on the subject of contagious yawns.
