f u r gonig ot a message, broad wear: u esspect to find a answer, and u psot ur ?, why in the name of all that is good and right can you not take the time to get even close to spelling, punctuation, and/or grammar? I’m not talking about a participle that’s left dangling, or a modifier that has failed to find its place, nor am I claiming to be the Lord High Panjandrum of Correctness. Lord knows I’ve made my share of errors. I suspect, based on my experience of watching pittings turn around (and this being my first) that I will probably suffer more from the posting than I would from not bothering to post, but I would like one straight explanation, from the heart, as to why none of the rules apply to you. ---

Your being totally unfair. Its not like we cant still understand them, is it? They think their being cute! Why spoil there fun? Your a big meanie, thats what I think. So what if some of there post’s take a little longer to read? Cant we be more understanding? They have just as much of a right to be hear as the rest of us do! ---

I try to let little errors slip. Though I love to correct the errors of writing made by others when it comes to the written/spoken word, I have a much harder time spotting my own. I do realize that oftentimes a gifted writer will intentionally scar the english language in an effort to make a point more eloquently. However, the problem here lies much deeper than what originally meets the eye. I am a literal man. I go by exactly what is said or what can be implied from what is said. There are just so many instances in the English language where a small typo can completely change the meaning of what is trying to be conveyed. A small example: “Your horseshit” means something a lot different than “You’re horsesht”. Another example comes from a college paper I wrote about a decade ago. I remember it well, because my professor’s comment was one that taght me something. The course was Freshman (don’t laugh) English and the professor was Dr. Bennett (at the, formerly, Moorhead State University, now known as Minnesota State University, Moorhead). The (poorly) named title of the essay was “My Fear of Snow”. I believe that the line in question can be understood quite easily in the context regardless of my error. However, I could see how someone who only knows english in a literal way would take it the wrong way. Not necessarily. My contract states that I have to send them off to Chicago for dry cleaning every Thursday, and somtimes I don’t get them back until the following Tuesday. ---
