Oh wait! I just remembered another bass player joke! Two men were sitting at a bar, and struck up a conversation about IQ’s. The first guy says “well, mine’s 210!” The second guy says “Really? Mine’s 200.” They start conversing about stuff like science, arts, world peace, and the like. Two other guys are at the other end of the bar, and the first guy says “hey, my IQ is 65!” The other one says “no kidding! Mine’s 62. So, what brand of bass strings do you use?” Sorry. And FWIW, I got the above joke directly from _Bass Player_ magazine. 😃 ---

Like someone else said, you can find plenty of people to jam with if you play bass. At my high school, there were plenty of guitarists- a couple good ones, a few decent ones, and a bunch of bad ones. The one thing that hindered a lot of people from filling out their bands was the inability to find a bassist. It would often end up being whatever guitarist had the least of an ego problem and would accept playing bass for a while. So, practice hard, and have fun. -Neil ---

Hehe, our bass player had never played a note in his life till he joined the band.
