And there’s nothing juvenile about continuing to respond in a snarky and condescending way to an internet thread in which it’s pretty obvious that someone is having a hard time figuring out why they keep falling into emotional traps, and doing so willingly, knowing what awaits. I have no illusions about the fact that I’m in a dysfunctional situation here. In fact I’m convinced of it. If you continue to snark at this point, you are just as much in need of getting your shit together as I am. There are a lot more options for entertainment out there these days than mocking someone who is trying to understand and change a negative trend in their thinking. So maybe we both need to grow up a bit. Oh yeah, “and shit.” ---

Every day, I get used by a bunch of different men and I delude myself into thinking maybe- JUST MAYBE!- this time if I do everything they ask me to, someone will finally love me. That’s why I spend my time at dive bars, letting any old drunk loser talk me into waiting for them while they run off with other chicks, probably to fuck. Day in and day out, my life is the same miserable thing and even though I act like I have the self awareness to to realize I need to stop, the reality is that I’m just so emotionally stunted, that I’ll never change. I’ll always get used by people, because I’m a weak person and that’s what happens to weak people. Thank you, though, for showing me that people like us can go straight into middle age and continue on our lifestyle without much interruption. Oh, and ps: let’s not front- you’re not trying to change shit. ---
