…I second Floosmoor Station! (For the beer, that is.) Depending on the time available to the OP., it can be very accessible from downtown, but, especially on Sunday, not so convenient a return trip. Sunday trains don’t run frequently. But it’s a simple trip: Hop on the electric line south out of downtown, and the brewpub is at the stop in flossmoor… (Edit…Um, I see you’ve already made tour trip. I’ll read about it now.) ---

The winters are an experience and take getting used to. They can also be incredibly beautiful as well so don’t let that scare you.
