# Yes, indeedy, yeronner! You're proactive, you are!

The All-American, “innocent until proven guilty” answer is STILL, “Fuck you! Prove I’m not,” and anybody who says otherwise is some sorta pinko nazi. It’s just best sometimes to mutter that to yourself while producing the minimum amount of identification. 😃

But seriously, as I don’t live or own property in Hazleton I have no legal requirement to rent only to legal residents and the status of a tenant is none of my business as long as he pays his rent.

Not really my field either, but having been a landloard I know that requiring proof of citizenship or visa is permissible as long as you ask for the same proof from every applicant. Keeping copies and good records is a must.
