Hey **Swampy**! It’s my Grandma’s birthday Thursday. She’s going to be a million! (I’m rounding up, there.) It’s also my older sister’s anniversary. (Plus her husband’s. Oddly, they both have their anniversary on the same day.) She’s just my older sister, not my big sister because she’s shrimpy. She’s the shrimpiest of the whole family. And the only blonde. The rest of us have dark hair. It’s just that way. Happy Birthday Swampy! May your day be chock-full of burly goodness! ---

I’m depressed. Not depressed as in ‘clinically depressed’, just depressed as in “I don’t wanna talk to anybody, leave me alone” depressed. [**COLOR=Blue]HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SWAMPY AND VUNDERBOB![/COLOR]** Well, it was the second day of my new job and I am feeling more and more out of my comfort zone. I know this is normal, but I hate feeling uncomfortable. I actually saw my offical job description today and took a great big gulp when I finished it. Well, I’ll get past it, I suppose. In other news, it’s still warm and sunny here and I am actually looking for rain. See, that’s a sign of a true Washingtonian…when you start WISHING for rain. Well, I need to put dinner on for the **Tater** clan…I’m not really hungry, but they probably are. It’s just too hot to eat. ---

Wow! **NCB** is a class act. The coding impaired among us salute and honor you. 😉 **vunderbob** , the reason **swampy** is getting all the attention is that for the past two to three months, he’s worked his upcoming birthday and its associated celebrations into darn near every other post he posts. I mean, my birthday is in September and I’ll be divisible by 11, but do you see me posting about it all the time? **swampy** , bless his soul, was so excited about turning 50 that he had to tell us all about it. I’ll be going down to see my family, and we’ll have a big dinner of prime rib and ravioli, with a white or yellow cake with chocolate frosting on my birthday early in September, but really, why would you want to hear about that? Could you imagine if everyone posted about every birthday and what they were doing to celebrate it? We still do a full present exchange at birthdays, like the one I’ll have the day after Labor Day, so I’ll get gifts from all three of my sisters, my oldest niece and my Mom (and my brothers-in-law, nephew-in-law and young nephews and niece by association–the women are always the gift-buyers, aren’t they?) One thing about **swampy** , subtle he’s not!\* Me, oh, I might let slip that I’ll be out of town for a week celebrating my birthday, but just in passing really, not that I’d expect anyone to notice. That’s **September 5** , but I’ll be on vacation, so you should all remember it’s coming and send me big greetings a week early. 😃 \*Just kidding, darlin’, you barely mentioned your birthday at all. Really. ---

Hey, **Kalley** , I think we could do a good job of working September birthday greetings from the MMPers if we double team…specially since our birthdays are so close together…mine being **September 2** an all. **Swampy** , it’d be really fun if you took some pictures of you in your birthday suit…on your birthday…at that boys clothing optional camp…that you’re not going to for your birthday…cause you only saw the sign…waist up, acourse, for those with fragile sensibilities. **Rue** tell your grandma Happy Birthday for me. When she asks you who I am you can say: “I dunno. He’s just some gay guy that I post messages to on the internet.” She’ll love that you have nice new friends. Peter Jennings and Rasputin were born on July 29th. Wonder if grandma knows that. Also, the Spanish Armada was defeated on July 29th. Happy Birthday Wishes to **swampy** and **vunderbob**!!! I’m back from the beach…we had waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun. I was so busy at work yesterday that I didn’t have time to even glance at the MMP much less post to it, and I was dragging a bit since I didn’t get a lot of sleep over the long weekend. Me and my friend would come rollin’ in to the hotel lobby about 6am and the cute little desk clerk, Josh (a boy who likes boys, **swampy** ) would just giggle, wave, smile and shake his head at us. I cooked Greek food for 10 people Sunday afternoon at the beach. It was fun. I LOVE Mexican, but I’ve never tried tortas. Speaking of Mexican, I got turned on to the Los Lonely Boys CD this weekend and have been listening to it just about non-stop. It’s great! ---
