Some suggestions for possible artists to sing the theme song? I’ll start with Fiona Apple, who I have thought should do a Bond song ever since I heard the album _Extraordinary Machine_ - several of the songs on that album sound like they could easily be Bond songs, with some minor lyrical adjustments. I really hope nobody says Adele (my least favorite female singer of the past 10 years.) ---

I love Mann, but seeing as how he shitted himself over the adaptation of his own work (Miami Vice), I think Bond needs a solid filmmaker but not one out to absolutely “show” himself. In some ways, this a far rarer breed than poseur directors. I think you need to be able to master action scenes before you focus on smart dialogues or characterization. QoS is one of the worst Bond movies mostly because of that. ---

I think Matthew Modine could pull it off. Watch _If, Dog, Rabbit_ if you don’t believe me. He’s a solid filmmaker and he’s certainly not out to “show” himself. ---

That is the first time I’ve heard that song and it is _absolutely_ hilarious and absolutely TRUE! It takes _all_ of the criticisms I’ve made of the Craig era Bond and sums them up perfectly. \*Sometimes I wish Roger Moore would come back with an underwater car or some kind of jetpack or a hover-gondola and a Union Jack Forget it, mate, it’s not the '80s! He’d rather kick you in the face! We’ve got a new Bond for the noughties because the world’s a TERRIBLE place!\* ---

They were all actors with tons of charisma, but Moore and Brosnan were characters who seemed to rely more on their wits to beat the villains.
