Spotted yesterday on a car parked at a local shopping center: an Ohio plate reading **IM A SITH**. I knew the man who, before his recent death, had the Pennsylvania plate **C27H46O** , which gave an indication of his profession. The tag features the chemical formula for cholesterol – the owner was a pioneering researcher in the biochemical effects of that dietary substance. ---

I got caught behind a car today with **NEILFAN**. The plate frame indicated that the driver did, indeed, mean Neil Diamond. ---

In the mid 80s one of the secretaries where I worked had the plate 2HOT4U. So of course the guys all referred to her as “Too Hot”. She felt this was harrasment, and took the matter to HR…She was told that due to her license plate she had brought it on herself. For the record, she was pretty hot. (well, looking anyway). ---

There’s really no reason to have [this](http://picasaweb.google.com/avrocanuck/Sept262007/photo#5116578168079820434) as a licence plate. (Sorry for that picture, I was at a stop sign and didn’t have time to properly focus through my dirty windscreen) I mean… Sure, you can be proud of yourself for still finding yourself attractive at that age. I know old people sex happens… I just don’t want to think about it until I am that age. And no, it’s not “6 foot 5 and sexy too”… I saw the driver. They were not tall… And about 65 years old. Eew. ---

I saw a Porsche with “WAS HIS”. There’s also an Audi with “FNLANSR” rolling around town. It belongs to a school teacher that won a million on Who Wants to be a Millionaire". ---

My dad’s a stock broker, and has had OPTIONS for 30 years. My uncle’s a vet, and on his motor home you’ll find PETFIXR And in California these days, you can get hearts, stars, and palm prints in place of characters. My SO’s neighbor has one car and about six harleys in a staid little suburb. His one car has LOOKN4{heart}. We always joke that maybe he’s on the donor waiting list. ---

I saw a license today that was STA2R. I was trying to figure out if this was the closest the person could get to STAR or if it was some subtler message I was missing. ---

I saw one (NM reg, not TX) the other day that said HENTAI. I don’t care if you’re thinking of the Japanese meaning (pervert) or the American meaning (animated pornography), it’s still way too TMI and I’m amazed that anyone would want it or that the DMV would allow it. ---
