In the OP - there is very little doubt that Ibn Warraq was referring specifically to the post itself and at no time directed a personal attack. ---

The post in question reminds me of some kid who was told not to touch his sister and so keeps buzzing his finger an inch or so from her face. He’s not touching her, but it’s still an actionable offense. ---
