This is an instrumental part of what may be an instrumental song, but I’m not sure. Here’s its musical notation to the best of my ability:

If you can’t read musical notation:
Each line is one measure. Dots represent quarter-note beats, numbers are pitches. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 = do re mi fa sol la ti do. I think the song is in the key of E.

```auto
. . 4-.
6-------
. . 3-.
5-------
. . 4-.
6---5-.
7---6-.
8-------
```
It’s about 165±10 bpm and the part that’s stuck in my head is an 8-measure loop. The main instrument is a keyboard – I’m having a hard time describing its timbre, but it feels “soft” to me. There’s what I think is a drum machine, with maybe a soft da-da-da, da-da-DAH on the 1&2, 3&4 beats. I thought I could remember its bass line, but it turns out I was thinking of Björk’s “Army of Me” – the actual bass line could be similar to that, but maybe not.

I’d guess the song is from this decade, possibly the early part – maybe part of an indie rock song or maybe chillwave electronica.

Any hints or guesses would be appreciated. Thanks!

After hearing Adele’s “Water Under the Bridge” for the first time in a while on the drive to work today, I now think I made up a remix of it in my head. Thanks and sorry if you looked into it!

jk lol

I was listening to Apple Music’s “Indie Hits: 2012” playlist and heard the song I was trying to describe: Jai Paul’s “[Jasmine](https://youtu.be/RWQMg56ZVZY)”. I probably heard it from either (1) playing that playlist before or (2) listening to the Radio Mirror Park station on Grand Theft Auto V. (I spent about 15% of the game listening to that; most of the rest was on Non Stop Pop. But that’s another thread.)

Sorry to disturb you, but I felt like I needed to correct this on the minuscule chance that someone else had the same question. Carry on!

Well… 4 months is a lot longer than it usually takes us to solve this kind of thing. Sorry it took so long but glad you got your answer!
