# Yet another Osama bin Ladin Question

There’s this wild rumor that I keep hearing about, that Osama bin Ladin studied at an American college. Is there any truth to this? I did a search, and all I can find are WTC newsbriefs.

saw a commentary article stating that he was once a worker for the CIA. Once again, no cite.

Wouldn’t be surprising though. We tend to create most of our problems.

wow… I just went back to MPSIMS and realized that I’m the only response to your thread while you’re the only response to mine… coincidence? I think NOT! I still hate the chiggers.

This from The Independent On Sunday:

_Contrary to reports, claim Saudi sources, the only countries he (Osama bin Laden) has been to are those on the Arabian peninsular, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sudan. Stories of trips to Switzerland, Philippines, and London are all unfounded._

And America, presumably.

The piece mentions a _school and university_ education, but fails to reveal the names and locations of those places which might claim him as an alumnus.
