No. I won’t do it. - Aaaggghhhh! Don’t say that word! Actually, the ex sounds rather manipulative. This is showing up now at a time of stress. Imagine the problem magnified tenfold in a marraige, like what religion to raise kids in, whether to have kids at all, whose work is more important to live near, etc… Stop returning IMs or e-mails, make any conversation very short. Time may allow you to become friends again at some point in the future. But for now, cut him off. Sorry. Passive aggressive manipulation is a serious character flaw, in my way of looking at things. ---

If I were you, my dear werewolf buddy, I’d put a block on his email so it bounces back to him as refused. Ditto for IM, if you have it. Hanging up on any phone calls (politely: “Sorry, I’m simply too busy to talk to you” or directly: “I told you not to bother me any more. Go away”) is also indicated. Especially if he’s patronizing you for working late?!?!?!? Ye gods and little fishes! In person, since you’re in the same circle of friends, I suggest a large fish with which to slap him. Dance steps optional. 😃 ---

I thought it would be an occasion to have some good fun and throw some funny jokes, and to cheer up a worthy person having a problem. As I wrote previously I did have my fair share of love stories turning sour, and in those occasions I could have done with a laugh, and this is why I came up with the idea. It was not meant as an attempt to bother people or press on my attentions, and if it was taken as such, I can only apologize again.☹ ---

Hey, don’t let me ruin the fun! Really, I thought it was fun, too. Just got cold feet at some point.
