I need to place a GTX285 but cannot afford a GTX285. I would like to get something that would be quiet, and would allow me to play games like Team Fortress 2 and Eve.

I am looking at this one right now: [GTS250](http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133266&cm_re=pci-express_video_cards-_-14-133-266-_-Product). Anyone have any experience with this card? Pros/Cons? $ 150 is about what I’d like to spend.

Thanks. (And yes, I’ll be looking at the older threads on the same subject, but if you would like to link to them anyway, that makes my job a little easier.)

Gigabyte makes a 4850 with a passive cooler. It’ll be silent and perform about the same as the GTS250. I have no idea where you’d find one in stock though.

Sweet, so the GTS250 is at the top of that list or the Radeon 4850. Thanks guys. Looks like I was on the right track.

So I got the 4850 because it was $ 40 cheaper. It’s not passively cooled, but I’m going to assume that the fan will run quiet. I don’t mind the white noise of fans if they are good fans.
