I’m glad to see the Sucs did it. I just wish I could say that the Lions’ _division-mates_ did it, but alas… The only thing us Detroit gridder fans have to look forward to any time in the near, or distant, future is 2006 when the big game comes to Ford Field. But anyway, congrats TB! ---

I guess this means that hell has frozen over, right? Or is that the Cubs winning the World Series? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the first team I can remember taking an interest in. When I was but a mere child living in Lakeland, Florida, I had a Buccaneers jacket. Bright orange and red colors. I never thought I would see the day that they would win the Super Bowl. And those final two interceptions in the final seconds…talk about kicking your opponent when he’s down! Was it just me, or did Oakland not show up until after halftime? No blown calls, either, from what I could see…except that fumble call, which was rightly overturned to a dead ball early in the first quarter. ---

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! GO BUCS!!! Just got home from a Super Bowl party. We drove by way of the stadium, there was nothing organized there, it just seemed like the direction to go. It was like everyone in Tampa was out on the road. Honking their horns, waving flags, just generally acting like idiots… but in a good way. 😃 And lord knows it was deserved. Too many years of being the laughing stock of the nation.
