This is a continuation of the diversion on the jazz thread. It has been suggested that, in the spirit of Flora and Uke’s gossip/boxing session, that all of the Teeming New Yorkers get together for a night of boozing, intelligent debate, shcmaltzing and, of course, backstabbing other posters who aren’t there.
If you are interested, please feel free to suggest some locations/times/ideas. My e-mail works if you don’t want to post on this thread.

I must apologize for being so remiss today–my E-mail and Netscape have been down most of the day. Which means I’ve actually had to WORK–it’s been sheer hell, as you can imagine. Thank GOODNESS I still have those codeine pills, or I don’t think I could have made it.
Why, dear, I’d love to have a five-way with you and Manhattan and Ike and whoever. Is midtown most convenient for everyone? After work?

I’m a big fan of your idea to go to The Russian Vodka Room. I figure a Monday or Tuesday evening, when it’s not too busy.
But let’s try to work around the playoffs. One never knows when a World Series ticket might land one’s way.

Ike and Melanie - I’m sad to say that you two have ChrisCTP and I beat for proximity. I thought living two blocks apart was something special, but to work 13 floors apart is very impressive.
Are we going to get to witness a cyber-catfight between Flora and Melanie over Ike? Stay tuned.
