I don’t give a shit about you enough to create some Pit art or even spend more than the bare minimum of effort in penning a Pit thread in your honor. The only reason this thread exists is just so I can call you something that I could not call you in this thread:

I thought about doing a Pit myself…I thought that was rather a nasty thing to say, when we were all celebrating her return. Rather a wet blanket, I thought. **Otto** , if you didn’t care, why did you bother to post in the thread to begin with?

Actually, when it comes to Otto and his comments, the Smarts’ religion just very well may have a lot to do with his comment.

Speaking as a huge friggin’ cynic … Otto’s comment came straight out of his ass. It was a very dick-hole thing to say.
My cynical comment on the whole affair is that I felt like a total ass because I was 100% positive she was dead.
Every once in a while we cynics like to be proven wrong.

Speaking as **Diogenes** the Cynic, I totally agree. I was also positive that she was dead, although I never thought that Ricci guy was the perp. I’m really glad she’s alive and I’m happy for the parents. I just hope she hasn’t been fucked up for life by the experience, and I hope this “Emmanuel” prick spends the next eighty years in the worst fucking prison they can find. I also hope that guards will make sure all the other cons know he’s a “short eyes.”
Oh, and **otto** … fucking blow me you asshole.

What a sour mean-spirited thing to say. I don’t get why he’d do that. He ought to just ignore the happy threads where people are rejoicing. I mean, if the happiness of others is such an irritant to him, the best way to cope is to avoid anything happy.

I think some people, like **Otto** and the aforementioned **MissB** , simply have nothing of note to contribute. So they post whatever will irk people and get attention. So sad.
Not an excuse, however. **Otto** , I pray that, if you have children, you haven’t taught them that way of thinking.

Cool, my first Pitting! Too bad it’s so pathetic, though.
I have posted a follow-up comment to my original post in the original thread. I direct you all there if you’re interested in the actual issue as opposed to doing nothing but taking pot-shots.
For the record, I had no idea of the religious beliefs of the Smart family, and had I been aware of them it wouldn’t have changed my reaction. Trying to drag some religious bigot motive into this is exceedingly lame.
Anyway, I’m bored now, but thanks for linking in that old Mormon thread. That might be fun to read again after three years since I’ve entirely forgotten its existence.
