The brand is originally French and clearly intended to mean pleasing yogurt. “Ca me plait” = “it pleases me”. Or “I like it”. ---

It’s a weird thing. Some of the strains of bacteria used in cheesemaking are the same as the bacteria that make people’s feet smell - the exact same thing. And people have made cheese using bacteria cultured from samples taken from feet - and it’s a horrible idea - even if there’s no actual essence of foot in the cheese - just bacteria that are the great-grandchildren of one bacterium from a foot. The cheese would be the same either way, but there’s an inevitable emotional reaction to the idea. ---
