Looks something like a blonde version of my wife. Who did AIDS research during her undergrad, and won the Lussier award for being the top B.Sc. Biochemist in Quebec in '97. She’s now doing her PhD on E.coli 0157:H7, and was just elected president of the Graduate student union at her university. But what I really dig is her smile 🙂 ---

Here I go, coming to Ms Spears’ defense while closing the door on any chance I may have of dissing a celebrity for his or her appearance, but can we, who have all admitted the error of our ways in judging people in real life on their appearance, be excused for doing it just because somebody is famous? Can we say whatever we want about somebody simply because it is unlikely she will find out about it and be able to react to it? For shame! As for her limited talents, both in singing and dancing, as well as her “nothing spectacular” looks, even our parent publication, _The Chicago Reader,_ published a sympathetic and understanding piece about Ms Spears and her popularity last year (I’d link it if they had it on their site). If this paper, long home of the most annoyingly hip people in the Midwest, could find nice things to say about her, perhaps we should look for qualities that can make us appreciate her more. For me, it is the realization that, complain about her looks as you people might, by Western standards of beauty she is still better looking than anybody most of you have slept with. Or dated. Or who even publicly recognized your existence. 😉 ---

As for the OP - she’s not the perfect woman, she’s the perfect _package_. Hell, it’s all about the presentation, right? Not the actual contents. She sings the songs somebody else wrote, she dances the moves somebody else thought up, she shows off the body somebody else sculpted. Hardly surprising Signor Guccione picked the perfect package for a magazine that does nothing but _say_ “women are packages for sex”. But maybe that’s just me. ---

Is she the perfect woman? No. She’s no Laetita Casta. Is she hot? Sure. C’mon. This contest ain’t about personality. Honestly, what red-blooded male would say no if Ms. Spears presented her naked self and a passionate night of sexual delights to him? Ok, if you have other commitments, you’re excused from answering, but if you’re single, I think 90% of you would say “yeah” and the other 10% are liars.
