I’ll try to answer nicely. 1. **The claim about Dopers repeating what everyone else says**. Well, you know, I’ve noticed this phenomenon, too. But the thing is, if no one ever repeated what others said in a slightly different manner every thread would be short and with little to no content. Part of the charm of a message board is different people with different takes on them and different answers, even if they are similar. That would be the shortest way to kill a message board, if everyone only answered with something completely fresh and new every time. 2. **Bill Gates.** I happen to think he’s a great guy. His products aren’t perfect, but they’re very useful to me. And he’s not answerable to me, you or anyone else. And you know, if he wanted to keep every cent (like so many millionares do) then I would not have a problem with it. He earned it. I respect him more for doing so. 3. **Spielberg**. Yes, his movies are full of calls to emotion, action, and “child-like wonder”. So? He’s found his niche, he does what he’s good at. I agree with you, by the way, that his movies aren’t all that, but they’re mostly entertaining and what else do I ask for in a movie? ---

I just love how you reduce Melinda Gates to a “supermodel.” I guess the fact that she’s _pretty_ negates her contributions and accomplishments. Forget the MBA from Duke, her IT career, or the fact that she heads a philanthropic foundation that targets the hopelessly poor and forgotten people of the world. Really, the difference between her and, say, Melania Trump is minimal. ---
