The question for me is whether I would feel compelled to stay exactly where I am, or dare to move. If me and my bed suddenly get transposed into an alternate, human-free Earth, is there a chance that this is an anomalous condition that will ‘snap’ back to normality without warning - and without me, if I wander off. ---

Hmmm if everything man-made is gone, does that mean the lake and river waters have al bee cleaned of industrial wastes? So dying of thirst shouldn’t be a problem. But just about every modern crop and domestic animal has been heavily modified by humans, so food would certainly be a problem. Yeah, I’ll be dead in a week or two. ---

Are there any movies about that? I think there is a Twilight Zone episode about that kind of thing where the guy decides to read every book he can… anyone know the title of that one? The scenario gives you your best set of clothes, so I think we can include glasses in that. No chocolate factories though. And since you wake up in bed you have everything on your bed. My thought is if the dog or cat normally sleeps on the bed you should get to keep that too. And then if you normally sleep with someone they should be there too. But those are question for the OP to decide. ---

So I’m totally alone, no other humans around, no technology, no anything other than my bed. Well, I think at first I would panic, then I’d scramble around trying to find enough to eat and drink. Of course then I would go nuts from suddenly going off my meds, and die of dysentery or worse from eating or drinking something contaminated. ---

Once, I very stupidly decided to quit my meds cold turkey. Headaches and wild mood swings convinced me that tapering was a much better idea. So with the headaches and moodiness combined with the shock of no family or friends, no easy access to food and getting devoured by Taiwan’s mosquitoes, I think I may hold out for a couple of days. ---
