You baby is too fat-Healthcare denied

Well, yes. Is the baby paying his premiums ? Is he a taxpayer ? No, he isn’t. He’s just a slacker abusing the system, not doing a goddamn thing all day long and living off the federal teat like a parasite on society. Fuck him, and the [del]horse[/del] mom he rode in on !

:stuck_out_tongue:

My friend’s baby- a big, healthy girl- ended up in the NICU due to Meconium Aspiration Syndrome ie: poor thing pooped before she got out, inhaled it, and had breathing trouble. She was in the NICU for 5 days, where she was- for the first part of it- hooked up to all kinds of stuff to help her breathe and eat. My friend actually has one of the best doctors in the area, one who lectures nationally on baby doctorin’ and is quite renowned.

Anyway, after 5 days, the little one was the picture of good health and was sent home.

Four months later, my friend just got a $45,000 bill. Why? Insurance denied the claim, saying the baby didn’t need to go to NICU, didn’t need fluids, didn’t need breathing help, etc. and so forth. Why?

A preexisting condition, of course.

I laughed so hard. Like, doubled over, full on, hysterical laughing. I mean, how could you not? The baby didn’t even preexist when it happened! My friend took immaculate care of herself while pregnant, had a perfectly healthy pregnancy, and has and had no conditions herself (ya know, aside from pregnancy).

My comment to her: “You clearly should have just let her die. Stop being selfish and think of the insurance company- times are tough for them.”
