Ok, Fine. Everyone thinks I’m icky, ok. How the fuck do you know I just wrote that unlovable line to be manipulative, **Jarbaby**? Are you a mind reader now? I know what I did was wrong. I have never ever hit anyone before in my life. This was the first time, ever. I got myself into couseling to stop the cycle before it has a chance to develop. The asking for flirting was a joke. I think what bothered some people, **Torie** is that even though you said you were going to counseling (which is excellent) when you posted about the flirting needed and such it almost seemed to trivialize what you did. I can get wanting to feel better and be cheered up by friends. I can get feeling down and needing someone to lift my spirits. And the calling him the next day for the happy anniversary bit was just ridiculous. But, as other have mentioned, you are young…you are still learning. You have plenty of time. Just move on from this and take a few things with you… 1. Don’t hit people even if they piss you off. 2. You don’t need a man to make you complete. 3. Work on YOU before you try to work on another relationship. Get to where you are happy with you…a boyfriend isn’t going to do that for you. I wish you well. 🙂 ---

For the record, “Beat the hell out of him” was an exaggeration. I didn’t even leave bruises for christ’s sake. The reason I haven’t bothered to point that out until now is because **I know that it doesn’t excuse it.** I’m not asking anyone to pat me on the back for getting counseling. I’m asking everyone to forgive my imperfections and help in anyway you can or are willing in my recovery. In four days, I have lost a boyfriend, a home, and a job. I don’t want to lose friends either. So suffice it to say, I am not attempting to be manipulative, inappropriate, or pathetic. I am sorry that you guys think that of me. I am now bowing out of this thread entirely and asking to close the other. ---
