I’d say I maybe spend $5 every two months on period related expenses 😛 TP is terrible. I’ve never like, shoved it up my hoot or anything, but I’ve made an impromptu maxi pad out of it when nothing else is around. Temporary and weak at best. I’d rather just spend the $5 every couple of months. ---

**ACM** , me personally, I get my tampons at Target or Costco because they’re cheaper. Some places near where I live you can get a box of twenty for $12.99. (At other places it’s about $20 for maybe 70 to 100. My parents usually pick them up for me.) I use about seven to ten a period. As for how effective–no idea. I wouldn’t want to try that myself. I doubt all that good because my flow can be pretty heavy and I’d rather have something that I know is going to work. ---

I mean, maybe it’s that much at the airport or something, but Cheezits are also $5 a bag at the airport. ---

Maye it’s a little closer to around $8 or $9 for twenty. I know for the 36 tampon packs of Playtex, I’ve paid closer to twelve. For what it’s worth I live in NYC. Most stuff at the local drug stores are pretty ridiculous–hence, Costco. ---

That’s why you leave a decent length of TP unrolled up, place the temp-pad in your undies, then wrap the tail over and around the pad and undies crotch to anchor it in place. Tuck the very end under the wrapped part to secure it. (I had to improvise more than I care to think of when I was a teen.) ---

My cousin hitchhiked across Canada when she was young (14-ish) and she would go into a diner, order a cup of hot water and add ketchup to make a tomato soup sort of thing, but she never ate napkins. That strikes me as being rather odd; however, I really don’t know what it’s like to be busted ass poor, 'cus I never have been (lucky me). Perhaps if I was that hungry a napkin would start to look good. Regardless, that whole collection of posts by **Curlcoat** is…bizarre. ---
