Yes a Hatfield boy did marry a McCoy girl but she died giving birth to their first child and according to both families they lived in sin since it was still in the heat of battle. While we’re at it, who pronounces “electricity” as “electrizzzzity”? And no “easy/greasy” arguments, either (not that I can think of, anyway): Felicity. Audacity. Synchronicity. City! (though as a teenager, when my friends and I had outbreaks of pimples we may as well have been living in New York Zitty.) ---

Here in Seattle, I say “grease-E,” except when I’m talking about those “greezy Spaniards.” (Said with as much Python inflection as I can manage.) ---

I agree with the Aussies …Greezee. Though it’s fish and chips NOT fesh and cheps 😃 But the one I hate is A-loo-min-nim. That just sounds soooo wrong! It’s Al-u-min-ni-um ---
