You know, it’s kinda funny. I never heard of garden snails until last week, when I was in Jerusalem. Israel had its first rain of the year while I was there, and then all the sudden: giant snails. Being a rare enthusiast of things with less than two legs or more than four, I ran around taking pictures (and one somewhat disturbing video). I also went to look 'em up on Google. My first reaction, and most prominent, reaction upon reading the Wikipedia article was, “_Common_ garden snail? COMMON?!? No way is a freaking snail [the size of my hand](https://photos.app.goo.gl/FFS5yzIOl7pHV9L02) _common_ by any sane definition.” But my second take-away was, “Huh, so left-handers are rare? I’m going to keep an eye out, see if I can find one.” And now I come back and leftie snail sex is in the news. RIP Jeremy. ---

I’m no malacologist, but if you get two possible mates for Jeremy, and they start getting it on with each other instead of Jeremy, wouldn’t it make sense to move one of those snails to a different box? ---
